Hair transplantation is often preferred by people who suffer from problems such as hair loss, alopecia or regional hair loss. It is a permanent treatment method. It helps the hair retain its old, natural look. This process is performed with different techniques for each individual. DHI, which stands for “Direct Hair Implant” and means direct hair transplantation, is a safe procedure that allows for a large hair transplant in a short period of time. Before the procedure, a design is created according to the patient’s hair structure. Then, after anesthesia, the roots, which are usually taken from the patient’s neck, are directly applied to the patient’s area to be treated. This procedure does not require any surgical procedure or incision. It differs from other hair transplantation methods in that both the roots are collected, and the application is started immediately after the procedure. At the same time, this procedure can transplant not only hair, but also eyebrows, mustaches, and beard.
FUE hair transplantation, which is another most commonly used method after other types of hair transplantation, has become more and more widespread in our country, especially after the 2000s. The difference of this procedure from other methods is that it is a surgical procedure. Healthy hair follicles are collected and placed in the cavities on the head like DHI. However, this is applied after opening channels to the scalp with micro-tip blades. This method takes its name from the heads of these blades. If sapphire head blades are used in this process, it is called “sapphire FUE hair transplantation”, and if slit head blades are used, it is only called “FUE hair transplantation”. The FUE technique can be used to perform eyebrow, beard and mustache fillers. However, the DHI method is generally preferred here.
